This trail is not really on a ridge despite the name. Much of it follows an old rail bed.

Description

The Wildcat Ridge Trail starts just after you cross over Splitrock Dam. Watch on the left for a gravel pullout (no parking permitted). The trail is marked with yellow blazes. Follow the trail uphill for a short distance; then the trail descends some tight switchbacks to a well defined trail. The trail exits onto Hibernia Road. Turn left for a short distance on the road. The trail re-enters the forest on the left. The trail now follows an abandoned railbed while paralleling Hibernia Road. Wildcat crosses Hibernia Road two more times very close to each other. The trail ends at the end of Hibernia Road at a small parking area.
