From the edge of the wetland trail, skirt along to the south of the property. Along the way, you'll see lots of birds feeding from the seeds of the prairie plants. Unlike the wetland section of Hisey, this area is mostly dry. But watch your ankles, as with the rest of this parkland, as the moles are very active and it is very easy to twist an ankle in their burrows! Deer prints point toward their use of this pathway to move across the property easily. Rabbits have made their burrows on the boundaries, and if you stop long enough, you are almost guaranteed to see one or two crossing your path!

Deer, rabbit, prairie grass, and native plants live in this area.
