Description

From the visitor center, the Mitchell Creek Fire Road climbs gently along Mitchell Creek under a canopy of oaks. After about two miles, the road begins to climb aggressively up switchbacks through sunny chaparral. There are some good views of Eagle Peak along the way. At 3.5 miles, the trail levels off at Deer Flat before ending at Meridian Ridge Fire Road.

Nice trail although not so much fun. Was there alone because it was quite late already and it was really beautiful.
