Description

This trail starts at the end of Forest Road 8205, where there is parking for 10-12 cars and a pit toilet.

Leaving the trailhead, you soon pass the Falls Creek Trail #1807A, then cross Falls Creek (no bridge), and then enter the Eagle Cap Wilderness. The trail climbs steadily, but not steeply, up the valley floor past meadows and through forests. About 4.6 miles in, you pass the junction with the Billy Jones Trail #1824.

On its way up-canyon, the trail makes bridgeless crossings of some side creeks and of Hurricance Creek itself. These crossing may require wading and may be difficult (if not dangerous) at high water. After 9.6 miles, the trail climbs abruptly via some switchbacks, soon ending at its junction with the Lakes Basins Trail #1810.
