Description

Where Back Creek Road descends to Back Creek, the Back Creek Trail follows the creek south toward Mount Diablo. Hike through oaks and chaparral along Back Creek. The flowers next to the creek are excellent in the spring. After about a mile, the trail climbs steeply through chaparral to Murchio Gap, where it ends at Meridian Ridge Fire Road.
