Description

Starting at the parking area next to the Silver Lake Flat Reservoir Road, and just outside of the Granite Flat campground, you pick up the Granite Flat Connector Trail and head southeast for a short distance to pick up the Silver Lake Flat Connector Trail, which is clearly marked with signage.

From there the trail is quite easy to follow. The trail traverses both singletrack and doubletrack; the majority of the trail is quite wide and seems to be an old narrow road rising through the scrub oak in almost straight shot up to the reservoir. It's deeply rutted in a few places, and there is one major washout, but it is easily passable by all ages.

Flora & Fauna

Deer, owls, bald eagles, moose, rabbits are all in the area.
