Description

This trail is part of the Ponca Wilderness trail system. This trail follows the bench above the Buffalo River Valley and is a good access point for the Antenna Pine Lookout. It can be accessed from the Compton Trailhead or Erbie Rd. When hiking west to east, the trail is a gradual but steady descent, and alternatively, if you start from Erbie Rd. expect to be climbing steadily most of the way.

Flora & Fauna

Ticks, poison ivy.

Don't do during months of good groundcover. Make it very difficult to see trail and not enjoyable.
