Description

Vargas Plateau Regional Park has recently re-opened in May 2017. This dirt trail can be accessed from Deer Gulch Trail off of lower Morrison Canyon Road or the upper park entrance. Note that lower entrance doesn't have a parking structure.

There's nothing special about this fire road trail. It does have some seriously steep hills, and the view up top is pretty rewarding. Once you climb up top, you have options of either going back down the same route or taking Morrison Canyon Road for an easy downhill hike.
