Description

A 2.3 mile trail through the foothills of the San Bernardino National Forest. There's a parking turnoff just east of the trailhead where you can pick up the North Fork Trail to reach the Natural Parkland Trail. From the Natural Parkland Trail, hike north on the wide trail. There are a couple of peaks along the route that offer some nice views of the Highland/Redlands area below. These are also good opportunities for sunset viewings. At its northwest end, this trail connects to Plunge Creek Road.

Flora & Fauna

Lots of birds rustling around on the ground and in the bushes. Not sure what types. There is apparently some sage brush that blooms in the spring.
