This route starts where Beck's Ditch (China Wall) W601 leaves off. The trail follows the creek with a few crossings and eventually climbs up and out, ending on Pigeon Road 37154. Take a lot of water! Even in spring when the creek looks clean and safe to drink, it is not. There are cows up above doing their thing in the water. The last part of the hike is often skipped in favor of an out and back. If you are tough enough to through finish it, you might as well make a push for Wilson Peak.
First part has beautiful views of the canyon. After 1.5m, trail gets boring and quality of the trail worsens. Very hot, no shade. Saw mountain goats!
