Description

This trail connects from a parking area off of FR76 can climbs steadily to a three-way junction with the Ojito Maes Trail #182 and the La Cueva Cutoff #9. Parts of the trail are heavily eroded making progress a bit more difficult than the grade would otherwise indicate.

Look for an early overlook of La Junta Canyon, but don't forget to watch out for the occasional mud holes dotting the trail. From the meadow at the top of the trail there is a nice pond that can be shortly reached by turning left onto the La Cueva Cutoff #9.
