Description

This trail is best accessed from further up the Burro Mountains, off the Continental Divide Trail for a rather short but challenging descent through Deadman Canyon and back to the parking area off of Tyrone Road.

You can expect several rocky sections and you'll likely encounter a couple of large, fallen trees. The upper part of the trail is rocky, peppered with fallen trees, and has several narrow sections that hug the side of the canyon. This gives way to singletrack that is wider and a bit more open and sandy near the base of the trail.

There are a few creek crossings that may be dry or may have water, depending on the time of the year, you can expect a couple of steep, rocky sections that cross through the canyon that seem nearly impassable.
