Description

Nestled in the center of the Telegraph system with its rolling trails, Horse Gulch Trail is a steep and narrow challenge between Sidewinder to the north and South Rim Trail to the south.

Best done downhill, Horse Gulch Trail has a long section of gentle valley punctuated with short steep bedrock or gravel hills.

The southern end gets exciting as the trail plunges the steep inclines of Mancos shale and similar shale-y substances.

Check out the unusual profile of this trail.
