Great trail that starts at Saddle Junction. Take the Devil's Slide Trail out of Humber Park in Idyllwild up to Saddle Junction (2.5 miles). The Willow Creek Trail was closed due to fire for a couple of years and re-opened last year. A lot of fresh growth to see and wildlife.
This trail is relatively flat in many areas and offers a great view of several valleys. You pass the Hidden Lake trail along the way (you need to get a special permit to trek the Hidden Lake Trail).

You have aa few alternatives when taking this trail. You can take this trail to the junction of the trail to the Aerial Tramway (takes you down to Palm Springs). Or, at the junction, you can go left up to Wellman Divide, and then take the PCT down back to Saddle Junction (a great loop).

Beautiful trail with many vistas along the way.
