Description
There is parking right next to the trailhead by the pond and the
Brown Trail begins here as well. The
Green Trail going CCW begins with a small climb on nice singletrack into heavy woods. It's a pretty hike and after leveling off you get some nice swoopy, winding and fun singletrack to hike through. There are few tiny little climbs and descents before the trail settles into a straight line. Also, there are a couple more roots and rocks around than you'll find on
Brown Trail, but all in all, the trail is pretty smooth.
At the end, you'll intersect with Plantation Trail and
Brown Trail. Turning onto Plantation Trail will have you off the singletrack and into doubletrack/fire road for a downhill finish. This trail is more fun than
Brown Trail as there is a tiny bit of meandering and a few very small climb/descents.
This proves to be a great, easy beginner hike with options to extend due to the proximity to
Brown Trail and
Blue Trail.
