Features Views

Family Friendly This is a short and easy trail with a beautiful open area with views of the ocean and Cape Blanco lighthouse at the end.

Description

This is an easy trail that starts out a bit sandy and ends at beautiful Blacklock Point, just north of Cape Blanco. Once at the point, you can take a trail down to the beach or explore the rocky ridge at the point. This trail does flood pretty heavily in the wet months, so it's best to wait until it is close to dry before attempting the hike. If it is wet when you go, be sure to remain in the center of the trail as to not widen it, and bring waterproof gear.

Trail muddy & flooded in spots. But view from point spectacular! As was walk through dense coastal forest.
