Description

This is a good technical backcountry trail which is a nice alternative to the Engineer Mountain Trail when coming from the CT (Colorado Trail: The Entire MTB Route), White Creek Trail or Pass Creek Trail.

At the top of the trail the sign is broken and hard to see. The first half of the trail is a little steep with occasional step-downs and steep switchbacks. The bottom half starts out with some small climbs and finishes with some slower, steep rocky sections.

At the bottom you'll see Cascade Creek Trail on your left. This option has a bit of climbing and is pretty wide and straight forward. Another option would be to cross Cascade Creek and turn left eventually connecting with Greysill / Cascade Divide Trail. This trail still has a few climbs and rugged sections but is more interesting. You'll have to cross Cascade again if you do this though.
