This trail departs Headquarters Trail at a gate (make sure to close it behind you). The trail is a quick loop that is used for cross-country skiing in the winter, so it is pretty wide, with very little elevation gain or loss. Its a great trail to connect to the upper or lower trails. Connects to Meadow Trail, Ridge Trail and Lower UW Trail.

As with many trails in this area, there are a lot of trail crossings. Make sure to pay attention to the trail signs and bring a map. Or, better yet, bring the Hiking Project mobile app.
