Description

The eastern end of Trail 18 begins where it intersects near the midpoint of Hickory Ridge Trail 20, near the town of Maumee, IN.

It heads generally west until shortly after it crosses N. County Road 1460 W., where it turns to the south to intersect with Hickory Ridge Trail 4. There are a couple steeper grades (both up and down) near its western terminus at Hickory Ridge Trail 4.

Trails nearest the Horse Camp receive higher horse traffic and, therefore, have more horse bogs. They are better to hike in the wintertime when frozen.

The clearing at the bottom of the hill just before the turnpike and creek. Otherwise this trail is almost always in the shade.
