Winter seasonal closure for all uses Dec. 1 through May 15 (reopening May 16). No dogs allowed on Glassier OS Access Road or Glassier MTB/Equestrian Trails. No motorized vehicles.

This is a multi use area. Please stay alert while on the trail and be respectful of other users.

Description

Climb or descend this trail to connect with nearby Crown BLM routes. You'll encounter thick oak brush and sage meadows along with some trailside cactus on a machine built trail that repeatedly kisses the edge of the red rock cliffs to the east. You'll find some of the best mid-valley views available along the cliff edge, overlooking the agricultural fields below with high elevation mountain views off in the distance.

The trail currently ends awkwardly at a dirt road. A major extension of the Buckhorn Traverse to this point will fix that awkwardness in 2017. In the meantime, take this dirt road downhill (north), and make a left to get to BLM Glassier to 8324 Route, which will get you to Buckhorn Traverse.
