Description

Butler Pass has some of the more rugged features available at Lake Guntersville State Park. Its lower end is at the Moonshine Trail and its upper end is at the Nature Trail. After a relatively tough ascent from the Moonshine Trail, it becomes a more level and less technical trail offering views of the lake and surrounding hills.

The lower end of the trail is technical singletrack while the upper end is wider singletrack. If doing it up from the Moonshine Trail, it seems as though the entire length is uphill, but it's more pleasant to hike it downhill from the Nature Trail.
