This trail is an alternative route when hiking across the East side of Elk Meadows Loop. It starts just South of West Fork (after the climbing is done) and connects you to Chimney Creek (Birthday Trail) while attaching to the Elk Meadows Loop trail multiple times along the way.

It runs mostly through the trees and follows a barbed wire fence for the majority of it. It also has some fun forested stretches. Great way to avoid motorized vehicle traffic when navigating through that area. If you are heading South the last section is pretty fast and steep.
