Description

This is the easiest way to get to the top of the mountain to be able to enjoy the Ziler Loop Trail; however, it is on a dirt road and likely not an enjoyable hike. This starts out as a paved climb on Middle Fork Rd and transitions to gravel on the Overlook Road. Overall, the route is a great workout with very nice scenery. This route is a much easier way to access the Ziller Trails.

Be aware, the road is open to cars.

After taking in the view, continue past the overlook through the gate on the grass-covered doubletrack South Prospect Rock Trail that leads to the Ziler Loop Trail. This sets up a nice 12+ mile loop hike.
