This trail starts as a moderate climb up the East Fork of the Pahsimeroi and will take you across open meadows and up fairly mellow grades, for most of it. This trail is not heavily traveled, so keep and eye out to make sure you are on the trail and have not been tricked onto some goat path.
As the trees thin out, the trail becomes much steeper. The last part, however, is just a seriously steep climb over the top with lots of elevation gain in a very short distance. The trail ends at Dry Creek Pass.
Beware of thunderstorm conditions as you crest the saddles since there is little protection on the upper parts of the trail.
In those sections where the trail is faint look out for rock cairns to guide your way.
