DuPont State Recreational Forest is a very popular multiuse, bi-directional trail system, so be on the lookout for hikers, horses, and bikers. It is normally open in any weather although it can close in extended periods of freeze / thaw during the winter.

Description

Hickory Mountain Road starts off of Buck Forest Road near Sky Valley Road and the Guion Farm parking area and ends at the start of the famed Ridgeline trail. It's a doubletrack fire road that connects to Buck Forest Road, White Pine Loop, White Pine Road, Guion Farm, Boundary, Hickory Mountain Loop, and Ridgeline.
