DuPont State Recreational Forest is a very popular multiuse, bi-directional trail system, so be on the lookout for hikers, horses, and bikers. It is normally open in any weather although it can close in extended periods of freeze / thaw during the winter.

Description

Joanna Road starts in the West off of Conservation Road and climbs over 600 feet on its way East to Pinnacle Mountain Road. The trail is mostly rocky doubletrack, but there are some narrow dirt sections and some slick rock as well as a shallow creek crossing. It connects to Conservation Road, Three Lakes, Pitch Pine, Chestnut Oak Road, Oak Tree, Table Rock Trail, Twin Oaks Trail, Briery Fork, Grassy Creek, Grassy Meadow, and Pinnacle Mountain Road.
