I did this from south to north, starting at the end of Fiske Creek Road (what some call the helipad).

From the helipad to the ridge its a little steep. Once you top out on the ridge, spend some time embracing the view.

Afterwards, hike north, up to Lowery Point (3038'), and follow this little used trail along the ridge. At long last, after a steep climb and an unlimited supply of thorny brush, the trail joins the well used trail to Fiske Peak. It is all downhill from here! Once the lower elevations are reached, the obstacles diminish, and it is a quick zip back to the trailhead.
