Overview

Take a leisurely hike around Halls Valley with Snell Barn as your central landmark.

Description

Start in the parking lot and take the paved path south to the Snell Trail. Go through the first gate on the left where the dirt trail starts. At the first fork in the path, stay to the right to approach vistas of Snell Barn—the designated landmark for this hike. Continue on the loop around the valley to the Lower San Felipe Trail, Corral Trail, Hotel Trail, and Barn Trail back to the Snell Trail.

Minimally trafficked, great with Covid. Peaceful. Saw quail, deer, wild pigs, and numerous birds. Very easy hike. Mostly exposed: hot in the summer. 4.2mi — 1h 43m
