The trail is basically flat through this flood plain area. Late May into June the trail winds through an awe inspiring sea of bluebells. No matter the intensity with which you are hiking through The Bottoms, the beauty and expanse of the bluebells will capture your attention.

When the Cedar River floods, it covers this trail. It also tends to be more wet than the rest of the trails following a rain.
