Description

This was one of the original trails in this area. It is now an important connecting route between the Big Lonely / Chisholm Trail and the Navajo Rocks areas.

The top of this trail (west end) follows along an old jeep route for about a half-mile before it turns to singletrack. At this point the trail takes on the familiar characteristics of others in the area; a twisting route over a mix of hard-pack, rock and some sandy sections. This trail does have a little more sand than others but it is never for very far, just be mindful of the soft corners.

There are a few sets of rugged switchbacks over a couple ridges that can be a challenge.

As with most all of the other trails in this area the views of the surrounding geology are spectacular, this trail however is rugged enough you'll surely want to keep an eye on it.
