Description

This trail is generally great singletrack. Cows are on the range here during the summer months so the best time for hiking is Spring and Fall.

The Barracks Fenceline Trail is the basis for several loops in this area including the Rippey Spring Loop. It also accesses the Mulkey Creek Trail.

From the Barracks Lane Trailhead, the trail climbs steadily across the sage to a tree filled gully locally known as, obviously, "The Trees." Take a hard left in the middle of this grove and the trail soon follows the fenceline.

The Fenceline Trail now rolls up and down and is smooth to its eastern junction w/ a two-track. Expect some short steep pitches, some shallow stream crossings and two gates in the fence (leave the fence the way you found it).
