Fall Colors · River/Creek · Spring
Family Friendly
Easy and short hike.
Overview
A very easy trail, scenic although not dramatic, and quick to do. It's also a good spot for fishing from the shore of the river or bird spotting.
Need to Know
Note: There's a raised area to the right of the parking lot that can be accessed directly from the parking lot or midway through the trail. To access this area from the trail (rather than from the parking lot), you'll need to make your way up a semi-steep grade, but there are no obstacles and it is not difficult for the average person.
Description
Follow a mowed path through this small park next to the Red River in South Fargo. Near the entrance of the park, there is a small stone amphitheater to the left, a wide open mowed area and a wooden overlook area set back into the trees off to the right of the open space.
The mowed path can be accessed at the right side of the mowed area. The trail is lined by tall grasses and trees, and there are views of the river throughout. Dogs should be on-leash on this trail due to the curving nature of the path and inability to see too far in front of you during your outing.
