Description

This trail is pretty easy, but fun. There is one small rocky section that needs some work as the flooding river created some big holes in it.

The River Trail starts on the back side of the pond in Barboursville Park and runs along the river to the sanitary lift station/railroad crossing on Peyton Street. There is parking at both ends so it really doesn't matter which way you hike it. Watch out for bikers and horses as this is a heavily traveled trail.
