Description

Stawold Pilz is the first descent off of the mountain all the way to the Waldhaus where you can grab a snack when it is open. Keep an eye out open the fenced deer habitat near the Waldhause.

Climb to the west to continue on past the Saubadfelsen Trail. Then continue from Pfaben to the Vogelfelsen formation to the base of the mountain. This section has a bit more singletrack that is not on all the maps, but the GPS or Hiking Project mobile app should get you to the trailheads.

This trail is generally doubletrack but contains the some roots and rocks to add challenge and fun.

If you choose, it is a moderately steep climb, but definitely doable.
