Description

This trail is accessible from Mike's Trail at the western end, Tom's Baby trail near the middle, or the Upper Flume Trail at the eastern end.

From west to east, climb Mike's Trail from the Lower Flume Trail to the junction with the Middle Flume. Go left (north) on an historic flume. At about 0.2 miles, cross Highlands Drive and head down a shared asphalt drive. Look for the trail on the right. The trail continues north on the flume through a rocky, technical section and over a wooden boardwalk. At mile 0.6 cross Spaulding Terrace, after about 200 feet cross Highlands Drive again.

The trail continues for 1/2 mile on the flume before beginning to climb. At mile 1.3 cross Preston Way and continue climbing. Trail will level off briefly and pass Tom's Baby Trail at mile 1.5. Continue climbing to intersection with the Upper Flume Trail and the end of the Middle Flume Trail.
