Description

After you descend the north side of Sheep Mountain, you can either head to Mineral Peak or drop left down this (#514) into the East Fork of the Rattlesnake. Trail #514 continues to be steep, in places, and rugged, with a few tough climbs and a creek crossing to keep things interesting. When you reach the main Rattlesnake corridor just above Franklin Bridge, there is still 8 miles of easy 2-track back to the Main Rattlesnake trailhead.
