Liberty Reservoir: Wards Chapel Gate 1 to Old Rte. 26 Boat Ramp

This section of trail winds through the woods on the east side of the Liberty Reservoir. There are some red blazes along the trail but they are sporadic and not easy to keep track of so you may want to keep the Hiking Project mobile app handy to stay on track.

The trail ends at the old Liberty Road/Rte. 26 boat ramp. You can hike the boat ramp uphill toward the road or hike it down to the water. Either way, you'll have to turn around and hike the trail back to the start.

Parking: There is a wide shoulder on the west side of the road near the trailhead. Approximately 5-7 cars can park on the shoulder. There is no parking at the end of this trail.
