Description

Park at the trailhead for Trail #25A and Hop Canyon Trail #25. Trail #25 is visible to the south while the sign for Trail #25A is across the road to the north.

As mapped Hop Canyon Trail #25 is a downhill off of North Baldy Trail #8. The trail is easy to follow in either direction.

From the top of the trail, there is a meadow crossing and a short climb to the start of the switchbacks. The switchbacks are generally well maintained. The surface of the trail alternates between rocks and packed pine needles. The trail gets looser as you approach the final switchbacks leading to the parking lot.
