Description

Larison Rock Trail starts off of Larison Rock Road just past a parking area. Hike up to the Larison Rock viewpoint before joining the main trail to head back down.

The main trail starts straight away from the road. Initially it descends tight singletrack through big moss covered trees, contouring across steep hillsides.

The route is a rather steep descent down the nose of a ridge before mellowing slightly as it traverses across the top of a connecting ridge. Larison Rock Trail steepens again as it follows sections of narrow bench cut trail on steep side slopes.

The lower reaches of the trail area a little rough in places. The terrain is a mix between steep, rocky trail and narrow singletrack that ducks in and out of drainages. Beware around blind corners and exposure on the downside of the trail (this is a multi-use trail and popular with bikers).

Larison Rock ends at La Duke Rd. To head back to town, turn right on La Duke Rd and then stay left at Greenwaters Trail.
