Description

As described, one-way this trail is 6 miles and 2,400 feet of descending singletrack. Mostly wooded and most parts follow the creek which keeps the trail cool. This trail is pretty mellow with some switchbacks to ease some steeper grades, but there are a few rocky sections There are two water crossings that are typically not too deep, but you may not be able to rock hop.

There's parking off FS Road 4225 to the right before the cattle guard, on FS Road 4225-212. From the parking area stay on the north side of the creek to a pole cattle guard where the trail tread begins. At 1 mile, just after crossing the creek, Blue Buck Trail No. 421 branches to the left. The trail then crosses Lightning Creek twice, and at 2.7 miles goes into open timber and joins closed Forest Service Road 4320-050 for about 0.5 mile and then FS Road 4230. Go 0.1 mile on this road and turn left onto another closed road (both have trail signs) for 0.25 mile to a clearing, then follow the trail tread to FS Road 4235.

The trail ends at Beaver Creek Campground.
