This is a popular trail near Las Vegas. The trail ranges from loose, rocky, and dirty to tight, loamy, though trees with a smathering of rocky/rooty sections.

If you're going to shuttle it, park a few vehicles at the bottom (there will be a brown mile marker looking trail sign with the numbers 530 on it that you can see from the road). At the top there is obvious parking on the left on Hwy. 158 the trail starts half a city block to the east.

There will be several opportunities to take a wrong turn and hike another trail but not to worry....they all end within a 1/2 mile of each other. If you stay on the "most used" looking trail you'll be fine. The most common "wrong turn" is at the road marked 530 on the map. Hang left as a right or straight will take you through Cowboy Wash Trail.
