This trail was designed for mountain bikers, but pedestrians can enjoy it too. Just be alert as you hike.
Description
Sidewinder takes you up to the top of Avalanche, across and back down. The west side of Sidewinder has many banked turns and jumps for mountain bikers. The trail links to Rambler Ridge and Morel Dilemma for more hiking around the top of Avalanche. The east end of Sidewinder is accessed from the Pine Lake loop.
Sidewinder is also the trail used to get to the observation platform at the top of Avalanche. It is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the view of Lake Charlevoix. There are trail maps posted at all trail intersections.
