Open late spring to fall and on into winter with snowshoes. Don't use during the spring break up.

Description

Start from either end and climb up to the saddle for excellent views from nicely spaced seating benches. The trail's overall length is 1.2 miles. Climbing elevation gain 180 feet from the parking lot and 260 feet from the Waterfall Trail intersection.

Three viewpoint benches along the trail give incredible views of Schweitzer Mountains ski area, the Sand Creek Drainage, and downtown Sandpoint alongside Lake Pend Oreille. This is a great family friendly trail and a great addition to SRD's singletrack system.
