Description

This trail climbs up a steep valley with some great open views since it was pretty heavily burned in a wildfire in 1994.

There are some bridges over some of the creek crossings and this trail sees very little use. The scenery becomes increasingly more interesting as you go up the trail. Bear River runs between two ridgelines with Shephard Peak at its headwaters and Wolf Mountain on north side. The last part of this trail is very steep.
