This trail is now the backbone of an entire trail system in the Galena area.

Challenging climbs lend to this trail's name, but those climbs are rewarded with fun descents... just in time to climb again. The natural hard-pack and rocky soil of this area along with Idaho’s famously thick forest make for a great hike through the mountains.

There is now an entire trail network built between this trail and Highway ID75. North of this trail is designated Wilderness Area.
