Description

This is the alternate trail to take back down from the top of Georgia Pass if you're doing the Kenosha Pass to Georgia Pass hike. Instead of hiking back down the Colorado Trail as you came up, you can take West Jefferson to the right and do a loop back to the Colorado Trail.

This option is more difficult than the Colorado Trail, with more rocks and roots.

Starting at the top, you descend through high alpine terrain and then hit some tight switchback in trees. You'll then follow Jefferson Creek until you get the the campground and the intersection with the Colorado Trail.
