Description

The trail starts at the paved park road and follows the shoreline of Whaler's Cove. Carmelo Meadow Trail soon joins on the right, and the trail heads into pine forest. After 0.3 miles, turn left to circle around Coal Chute Point. At the very tip you can easily see Cannery Point which is right across Whaler's Cove. Turn left again to follow the trail to the north. After two thirds of a mile, Moss Cove Trail joins straight ahead, turn left to stay on Granite Point Trail. You are now on Granite Point and can circle this headland to enjoy great views of the Pacific Ocean.
