Family Friendly This trail is relatively flat singletrack that makes for a great family hike. It's a little long, but worth the effort.

Description

Leave the trailhead at Lake Davis Road just east of Delleker Road. The trail meanders through the woods and comes across a gate. Pass through the gate and close it once you are through. Continue along the trail until it intersects with the road. Pass over the Grizzly Valley Dam, and pick the trail back up.

From here, there is a small hill to climb for approximately half a mile. Cross Beckwourth Taylorsville Road to continue on the trail. Descend a couple hundred feet along a gradual grade. Follow the trail signs for the next couple miles over rolling hills through the woods.

Cross the Beckwourth Taylorsville Road again towards the west (watch for cars as the speed limit is 55 mph). Continue along the trail to Lightning Tree Campground. Turn around here to get back to the trailhead.
