Description
Maps are available at the parking area, and five well-marked loops are available, ranging from a one-mile family hike to a 10.5-11.2 mile (my GPS measures this shorter than the trail map does) more rugged hike. There are several short, steep climbs.
The trail offers beautiful views of Lake Jordan and the Swayback Bridge from the Black and Red Trails.
It's rarely busy, which is a plus. However, be aware that the trail is frequented by mountain bikers. Please stay alert while on the trail to ensure your safety and the safety of others.
Flora & Fauna
Snakes are common - black racers (non-poisonous), water moccasins, and rattlesnakes. Fire ants abound.
