#62 Ranch Trail

Starting from Senator Highway at the top of Trail #396, Trail #62 (Ranch Trail) heads all the way to Walker Rd.

The trail starts with a couple nice switchbacks then gently climbs into the forest above. The first couple miles are exposed, providing great views of Prescott, Thumb Butte and Granite Mountain.

The trail eventually levels off in the trees and provides some gentle ups and downs as the trail ranges from singletrack to doubletrack. Once you reach the summit, there is a brief downhill to an intersection. Be sure to go left and follow the trail signs.

The east side of #62 is where the fun begins. This section is mostly downhill with some steep, loose uphills thrown in. This trail is not very well maintained, so be sure to follow the signs and watch out for some erosion in spots. Also, there are some great views of Prescott Valley to the east.

The trail finally ends at the #62/Trail 305 / Homestead Trail on Walker Rd.
